Data centers consume a huge amount of energy and hence generate huge power bills. A lot of steps are being taken to reduce the carbon footprint of the data centers, like completely or partially switching to renewable sources of energy. Changing the mode of power is just a part of the problem, as data centers today consume more than 2% of the global energy and we need to focus on reducing the power consumption per se.

More than 30% of this energy in a data center is utilized by data center cooling technologies. Therefore, this segment has started attracting a lot of innovation and research to help make these solutions green and reduce the overall affinity of power by the data centers. Recent innovations have brought in a revolution in the cooling sphere with Liquid Immersion Cooling, which takes care of all the power woos in the mission critical facilities.

Prasa is taking multiple steps to promote and embrace all the greener technologies in the data center space and we take immense pleasure to announce that Prasa’s Director – Mr. Jay Burse has been requested to be a panel member as a speaker at the Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Summit at Montreal, Canada. The event is to be held on 12th November 2019 and is focused on creating awareness about greener technologies in data center enterprise.

Mr. Burse strongly commits towards making the data center a green enterprise and is constantly working towards the technologies that make the data center effective and energy-efficient. With his motivation, Prasa is committed to lowering carbon footprint and creating awareness on energy efficiency, which is what the summit is about.

Mr. Jay Burse will share interesting insights about the latest data center cooling technologies and how Prasa is enabling these solutions to make the data center space more eco-friendly and sustainable. To help alleviate the cost of server cooling and its impact on the environment Prasa has taken the initiative to bring liquid immersion cooling solutions to India, which is an example of innovation at its best. This technology revolutionizes data center cooling by making it very simple, convenient, efficient, and consumes a fraction of power compared to the conventional cooling sources. At the event, he will focus on ways to reduce power consumption in data centers, increase the shelf life of the equipment, and make the systems more reliable with liquid immersion cooling.
