We have started a series of blog posts to enunciate the innovative solutions established by Prasa that manage data center bottlenecks and make them a better place. With these posts, we aim to highlight certain challenges with regular data center practices and how the experts at Prasa have come up with unique and simple solutions to handle them. These posts will give you an insight into Prasa’s original practices will help you understand what makes us Prasa a customer favorite.

For the first post of the series, we will talk about Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS), its importance in a data center, the challenges with the system, and how Prasa has managed to overcome it with one simple solution.

Before we get into the details let us understand what is IBMS?

Integrated Building Management Systems are deployed in the data center premises to ensure security, safety, and environmental monitoring of the data center. These solutions help the data center managers deploy, implement, monitor, and manage the entire data center facility. The IBMS consists of various critical sub-systems that play an important role in ensuring the safety and seamless working of the data center, they are-

  • CCTV System
  • Access Control System
  • Fire Detection and Alarm System
  • Fire Suppression and Protection System
  • Rodent Repellent System
  • Aspiration Smoke Detection System
  • Water Leak Detection System

These systems are instrumental in managing the data center and providing real-time monitoring of facilities equipment and making the entire premises more energy-efficient. As per current data center practice, these systems are mounted on the wall around the data center making it difficult for the data center managers to manage and maintain these systems.

Unlike other data centers that scatter the IBMS solutions around the data center, Prasa customizes a rack to mount all integrated solutions. This does just help with the aesthetics of the facility but makes it much more convenient for the user to manage and control these systems.

The experts at Prasa understand the importance of IBMS in maintaining data centers uptime and the seamless working of the entire facility. Thus, they found a way to make IBMS more effective and efficient. Just like this unique practice with IBMS racks, Prasa minutely considers every single deployment in the data centers it designs. Stay tuned with us to know about them!
