Prasa Infocom is proud to announce a business partnership with Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) for building a conventional data center in the largest city of Andhra Pradesh state, Vijayawada. The tender was floated to build an entire infrastructure (including the premise and the data center). Prasa Infocom has been chosen amongst 3 bidders, to build the data center in collaboration with Central Public Works Department (CPWD), India.
The data center will be an integration of 12 racks in total having per rack load varying from 5 to 15 KW, 18.5 TR PACs, 400 KVA DG Sets, UPS systems, PDUs with isolation transformers, and tier- III ready. The data center infrastructure is intelligently designed and integrated to fully optimize the provided area space of 850 square feet. Also, Prasa’s data center will be developed with compliance to 5 stars GRIHA rating (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment), which is a national rating system for green buildings in India, conceived by TERI and developed by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, India. The data center is to be built and deployed within a period of 3 months, starting from the mid of October 2018 to mid-January 2019, providing the electrical and mechanical services for the data center with the annual maintenance of 6 years.
Along with data center, Prasa’s team of experts has designed a first of its kind intelligent technology for the lighting management system for STPI’s building that will utilize a minimum amount of electricity for the light sources, depending on the need. It will be an automated system of lighting control which will switch on/off, dim the lights of the building sensing the daylight or the occupancy in the room. It is a small initiative by Prasa to maintain the green environment at STPI.
